Welcome to the Cwm Draig Water Polo Club website!

We are the competitive water polo club of Rhondda Cynon Taf.

We have mixed club training for Junior and Senior players on Thursdays evenings,

7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Sobell Leisure Centre (The Ynys, Aberdare CF44 7RP).

Achievements of club members

Cwm Draig has developed, supported and been a part of many club members'

journey to the national pinnacle of water polo and to achieve prestigious accomplishments in the sport. This includes:

​​

• Numerous members representing the Wales national water polo team at inter-regional and international level for Junior, Senior Women and Senior Men elite team.​

• Several  Dragons competing for Wales in international  tournaments, such as North Sea Cup and EU Nations for their respective squad level.

• Numerous youth and Junior players being called up for their respective​ Great Britain national water polo team.

• Two representatives in the Great Britain Senior Men's national water polo team, one of which for the 2012 Olympic Games.

• A representative for Wales in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

• The Cwm Draig Senior Men winning the 2017 BWWPL President's Knock-Out Cup.
