Dragons' delightful debut
Our newly-formed Junior Squad competed in their first ever match and earned a 20-7 victory! We welcomed South Whales Swim School to Sobell Leisure Centre, who were also making their competitive debut as a team under a relatively unknown Head Coach, Matthew Griffiths... Huge credit to both teams, some excellent water polo being played and wonderful teamwork being shown. An enormous thank you to everyone at SWSS for coming and making this event possible! Dragons collaborating with Whales!
Since the summer of 2024, a collaboration has been developed between South Whales Swim School and Cwm Draig Water Polo Club. A previous Swim Wales School of the Year award winner, SWSS were eager to offer their swimmers an alternative aquactic route in the form of water polo, and so, got in touch with Cwm Draig to be an external provider of the sport. Welsh Club Combo Conquers Lyme Regis (again!)
The Welsh conquered Lyme Regis ONCE AGAIN! With the tournament being halted on the Saturday due to Storm Antoni causing the sea to be unplayable, the whole competition schedule had to be packed into Sunday. The full duration of the matches were capped to ten minutes, ensuring the renewed tournament schedule could all fit. The Daffodils, runners-up in the previous championships [under the name Welsh Warriors], flew the Welsh flag in the Women's tournament and went through the
