Dragons shine in Inter Regional Champs | Dreigiau'n disgleirio mewn Pencampwriaeth Rhyng-Ranbarthol

Wales Water Polo participated in the Swim England Water Polo U18 Inter Regional Championships in the previous two weekends. The Junior Women Development Squad competed at the West Midland region's Walsall Gala Baths, while the Junior Men Development Squad played at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre. The club was delighted to see long-serving players in the Wales Water Polo team selection, including Katie Jo Williams, Seren Geary and George Jones for their respective squads.

Cymerodd Polo Dŵr Cymru ran ym Mhencampwriaethau Rhyng-Ranbarthol Polo Dŵr dan 18 Nofio Lloegr yn y ddau benwythnos blaenorol. Cystadlodd y Carfan Datblygiad Menywod Iau yng Maddonau Gala Walsall rhanbarth Gorllewin Canolbarth Lloegr, tra bod y Garfan Datblygiad Dynion Iau yn chwarae yng Nghanolfan Chwaraeon Rhyngwladol Ponds Forge. Roedd y clwb yn falch iawn o weld chwaraewyr hirhoedlog yn newis tîm Polo Dŵr Cymru, gan gynnwys Katie Jo Williams, Seren Geary a George Jones ar gyfer eu garfannau priodol.

The Junior Women Development Squad secured a vital win in Group C against East Midlands, which enabled them to progress as group runners-up, despite a loss to eventual-champions London Sharks. Following that, Wales put in admirable displays in their agonisingly narrow semi-final loss to East Angels and their Bronze Match defeat to Scotland. As a result, the Junior Women Development Squad finished in a respectable fourth place. The Junior Men Development Squad

Sicrhaodd y Garfan Datblygiad Menywod Iau fuddugoliaeth hanfodol yng Ngrŵp C yn erbyn Dwyrain Canolbarth Lloegr, a alluogodd iddynt symud ymlaen gyda ail safle, er gwaethaf colled i'r Siarcod Llundain sef pencampwyr yn y pen draw. The Junior Men's Development Squad were on the receiving end of a tough defeat to West Midlands, before responding excellently in the 6-6 draw with North West Ravens. Wales showed an superb demonstration to resilience to gain a deserved point. Wales' campaign continued with 5th - 7th play-offs matches, facing South East and Scotland Saltires. Despite the opponents claiming commanding wins, the character and perseverance of the Junior Men Development Squad was fantastic throughout.

Roedd Carfan Datblygiad Dynion Iau ar ddiwedd derbyn o golled galed i Orllewin Canolbarth Lloegr, cyn ymateb yn rhagorol yn y gêm gyfartal 6-6 gyda Cigfrain y Gogledd Orllewin. Dangosodd Cymru arddangosiad gwych o wytnwch i ennill pwynt haeddiannol. Parhaodd ymgyrch Cymru gyda gemau ail gyfle safle 5ed - 7fed, gan wynebu De Ddwyrain a'r Saltires Alban. Er gwaethaf y gwrthwynebwyr yn gymryd buddugoliaethau ysgubol, roedd cymeriad a dyfalbarhad y Garfan Datblygiad Dynion Iau yn wych drwyddi draw.

Both squads produced commendable performances in their tournament. We are particularly very proud of the involvement of our Dragons for the Wales squad. A special mention and huge congratulations goes to our George Jones, who was awarded the Most Valuable Player for the Junior Men Development Squad. Very well done, George! Brilliant achievement!
